The StarLiteTherapy  Web Site

Active Information Collection: the  StarLiteTherapy web site may actively collect information from  visitors both by asking specific questions and by permitting visitors to communicate directly with StarLiteTherapy’s parent company PSAE via e-mail and/or feedback forms.

Some of the information that vistors submit on the StarLiteTherapy web site will be personal information.

Passive Information Collection:

As a visitor navigates the StarLiteTherapy web site, certain anonymous information is  passively collected (gathered without actively providing the information) using various technologies (Internet Protocol addresses, cookies, Internet tags and navigational data collection, log files, server logs, clickstream etc). Internet browsers automatically transmit this anonymous information, such as the URL of the prior visited web site and the Internet Protocol (IP) address and Internet browser version being used.

The StarLiteTherapy website may also collect anonymous information from visitors on visiting computers via “cookies” (see descriptions below) and Internet tags or web beacons.

The visitor may set a browser to notify when a cookie is sent or to refuse cookies altogether, but certain features of the StarLiteTherapy web site might not work without cookies.

The StarLiteTherapy  web site may use and combine any passively collected anonymous information to provide better service to site visitors, customize the site based on visitor preferences, compile and analyze statistics and trends, and otherwise administer and improve the site for visitor interface improvement. Such information is not combined with personal information collected elsewhere on the StarLiteTherapy  web site

The following is a description of cookies and other passive tracking methods.

“Cookies” are bits of information a web site sends to the visitors’s web browser that helps the site remember information about the visitor and their site usage preferences.

“Session” cookies are temporary bits of information used to improve navigation, block visitors from providing information where inappropriate and collect aggregate statistical information on the site. They are erased once the visitors web browser session is terminated.

“Persistent” cookies are more permanent bits of information that are placed on the hard drive of the visitor’s computer and stay there unless deleted. Persistent cookies store information on the visitor’s  computer and enable the retrieving of certain information previously provided (passwords) and  assistance in determining the areas of the StarLiteTherapy web site visitors find most valuable.

Visitors can set a browser to accept or reject all cookies, or to notify whenever a cookie is offered so the visitor can decide whether to accept it. To learn more about cookies and  specification of  preferences, visitors can  search for “cookie” under the browser Help pull-down menu.

The StarLiteTherapy web site may use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses as PII. An IP address is a number assigned to a computer by the visiting computer’s Internet service provider to allow access the Internet This data is generally not considered to be personal information since in most cases an IP address is dynamic (changing each time a visitor connects to the Internet), rather than static (unique to a particular visitor’s computer). IP addresses are frequently used to diagnose problems with a server, report aggregate information, determine the fastest route for a computer to use in connecting to a site, and administer and improve the site.

“Internet tags” (also known as single-pixel GIFs, clear GIFs, invisible GIFs, and 1-by-1 GIFs) are smaller than cookies and tell the web site server information such as the IP address and browser type related to the visitor’s computer. Tags may be placed both on online advertisements that bring people to the site and on different pages of the site. Such tags indicate how many times a page is opened and which information is consulted. “Navigational data” (log files, server logs, and clickstream data) are used for system management, to improve the content of the site, market research purposes, and to communicate information to visitors. Web beacons, also known as “clear gifs,” “one-pixel gifs,” “web bugs,” “Internet tags” or “pixel tags,” are small graphic images on a website or in an email that allow PSAE  and third parties to monitor the activity on a website or to make cookies more effective. PSAE uses log files to store the data that is collected through web beacons.

Access and Correction

PSAE will establish and maintain a PII file of visitors for the above-mentioned purposes. Visitor PII files will be accessible at PSAE offices (note above).  At visitor request, PSAE will take appropriate steps to update or correct visitor PII. Visitors should contact PSAE in writing (email, postal or fax transmission) if with any access requests or correction of PII. PSAE will verify requesting parties  identity before searching for or providing any PII. Some PII may not be accessed in certain limited circumstances ( ie: cannot be disclosed for legal reasons).

Security

PSAE protects all StarLiteTherapy web site gathered PII  using physical, electronic or procedural security measurers appropriate to the sensitivity of the information in PSAE’s custody or control, including safeguards to protect all PII against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Orders placed through StarLiteTherapy’s online Shopping Cart are protected via both active Go Daddy Site Anti Virus and Malware Protection and SSL Encryption Secure Site technology.

All visitor / purchaser submitted information is encrypted using SSL encryption technology and further secure in that PSAE transcribes the visitor submitted purchase information and transacts all credit and debit card transactions manually at our office facility.

No active credit data is transferred over the Internet. Only Authorized PSAE employees who require this financial and address information to fulfill a purchase request for PSAE products are permitted to access this information in accordance with the consent provided (see “Consent” above).

Although PSAE has enacted robust security measures, PSAE cannot guarantee the security of any information that visitors submit electronically outside the barriers of the PSAE StarLiteTherapy web site. For instance – e-mails sent to the StarLiteTherpay web site may not be secure as they transit through portals or email servers not within the StarLiteTherapy domain.  Once within the StarLiteTherapy SSL and Virus protected domain such data is as secure as PSAE and the StarLiteTherapy web site’s current Anti Virus – Malware – Anti-Phishing technology can provide. Any transmission of data into the StarLiteTherapy web site though is at your own risk (example: external email server data) . However, access to visitor PII information is strictly limited, and not accessible to the public once captured within the PSAE / StarLiteTherapy web site domain.

Questions  – Comments – Concerns

PSAE will investigate any visitor issue regarding PII  and will comply fully with the legal and regulatory or  supervisory authorities responsible for enforcement of and adherence to the privacy principles stated in this Privacy Policy.

PSAE may in the future decide to sell merge or otherwise reorganize its business inclusive of the existing content and PII databases gathered via PSAE’s StarLiteTherapy web site.

PSAE reserves the right to transfer and disclose PII in this circumstance, but data collected by PSAE will be governed by the same privacy policy that existed prior to any change in business conditions.
